Just got home from a great Color Breed Congress in Tulsa, OK. The numbers were great in all our classes & the QUALITY of horses out there was truly impressive. We hauled 4 out to show and all of them did very well & placed in their classes.

Midas Well Shine was Reserve Congress Champion in 2YO Halter Geldings & 2YO HUS, he was also 4th in the 2YO Cash Challenge HUS & 6th in 2YO WP. Thanks to Cera Gray for showing him so well in all his English classes! This gorgeous colt has amazing talent & versatility, and we can’t wait to guide him as he matures. Definitely one to watch in the 3YO & Green HUS & WP classes next year!

Good Girl Gone Rad (Wanda!) & I were Reserve Congress Champion in Open In Hand Trail (1st under one judge!), 6th in Open Yearling Halter Mares, 7th in Am Longe Line & In Hand Trail & had a beautiful go earning an 8th place callout in the Cash Challenge Longe Line in a huge, super tough class of 24! I’m sure looking froward to starting her under saddle this winter, she’s going to be a great show horse!

A Little Jack N Coke and Kristin Tankersley had a fantastic first “big” show! They were 3rd in Am & 4th in Open In Hand Trail, just missed an overall placing in Tobiano Color but were called out in 8th twice. These two have worked hard & come a very long way this year!

Zippin Pippin was 8th in the Overo Color & 8th in Ranch Pleasure. He’s continuing to improve under saddle & will show in more ranch type classes next year.

A mix of good & sad news for this update.

First the good news! Billy and Vested In A Good Bar (aka Alex) were named Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs State Champions in Men’s Western Horsemanship and Reserve Champions in Men’s Western Pleasure over the past weekend down in Perry, GA. It was a fun weekend and we were able to catch up with some old friends & make some new ones as well.

The sad news is that we made the decision to humanely euthanize Rosie Principles (aka Rosie), our beautiful AQHA broodmare. She had been battling chronic lameness for years & got to a point where I could not manage her pain to keep her comfortable, so it was time to ease her suffering. She’s laid to rest along side her longtime friend & herd mate Gypsy. We will miss her quiet presence but are glad to have two daughters in training now that will hopefully someday carry on her bloodline.

It’s taken me a while to have the heart to write this, but on Wednesday June 28 we lost our great mare Gypsical Rodder, aka Gypsy. It was totally unexpected & a devastating loss. This horse meant more to me both personally & professionally than I can easily express. She was the very cornerstone of the life & business that our family has today. Gypsy was a great show horse herself – that she did not have more of an “official” record was due to my own limitations, never hers – she had her own “fan club” everywhere she went, and many of the friends & associates I have now are directly because of her. She was the boys’ first show horse & the only one my younger son Joshua ever cared to ride – just off by himself in the field with only a halter. She is the reason Billy & I ever crossed paths – he definitely loved Gypsy long before he ever loved me! She is completely responsible for the success of my breeding program – most of the foals she produced by any stallion I ever bred her to were world/congress placed – two of her daughters, after achieving their own success in the show pen, are now producing members of my broodmare herd. Gypsy is irreplaceable in our hearts & our lives – but her spirit, talent, intelligence, heart & presence will live on in our memories & through the daughters we have from her: Diva (ZZ Sensational Diva), Dory (BK Revved Up Radical), Wanda (Good Girl Gone Rad) & Harley (White Hot Spot Light) – girls, you have big shoes to fill…

Foaling season is DONE for us here at Fresh Paint Farm! We’ve got 7 healthy, beautiful & talented babies on the ground this year – 5 Paints & 2 Quarters – 3 Colts & 4 Fillies – 6 Bays & 1 Sorrel! Check out the 2017 Babies Page for pictures of all these beautiful foals.

Zack & I are busy finishing up the last of breeding season – we’ve had a fantastic group of mares this year & many are already confirmed in foal. I’m really excited to be breeding some great western pleasure mares as well as some very nice halter, hunter, cutting, race & ranch type mares this year! I’m looking forward to expanding the diversity of Zack’s resume as a producing sire in these areas. He will certainly stamp these foals with his signature traits – great mind, strong body, strait legs, natural movement & of course that guaranteed tobiano color!

We’re also getting ready to head out to Tulsa, OK for the Pinto World Championship Show in a few short weeks! We’ve got a very talented group of horses this year that will be showing in English, Halter, Color, Longe Line & Western Pleasure classes. You can keep up with us by following our updates & posts on Facebook (Billy Korsack & Katie Korsack) and you can even watch classes live on the Pinto World Show webcast (go to & follow the links).

So the last half of 2016 was kind of a whirlwind of activity for BKSH & I was very bad about posting updates! Oops… But, Billy & I attended Color Breed Congress in November & all the horses did very well, so we ended the show year successfully. We & the horses enjoyed a short winter break from showing & now we’re all getting ready to hit the road again! We’ve got some of the same fantastic horse/rider teams from last year & a couple new match ups that we’re excited about as well. Check the Show Page for updates.

Breeding season has started and Zack is all ready to go! At 19 years young he is as sound as ever & his fertility is still looking great. I just love this horse! We’ve got another really nice group of mares booked to him this year & have room for a couple more if you’re still looking – give Katie a call to learn more.

Our first foal of the year is on the ground & looking totally fabulous! Diva & Zack crossed extremely well, and this filly will no doubt be a world class show horse in the future. I’ve got several more foals due this year so keep your eye on the 2017 Babies Page for all those beautiful baby pics!

Just returned home from a very successful Pinto World Championship show:  huge congratulations to Haley with Jaxon, Emma with Ty & Hannah, Billy with Splash & Hannah & Jr, and Katie with PigPen!  The BKSH Team brought home buckles and many Top 5 & Top 10 finishes.  It’s also worth noting that Haley just missed the High Point Amateur Walk/Trot saddle!  BKSH was very well represented this year and we are so proud of everyone’s accomplishments!

April 1, 2016

All the BKSH foals are now on the ground and breeding season is in full swing!

What a great crop of foals we have this year – we are thrilled with what Zack (YouDontKnowJackZip – check him out on the Stallion Page!) has produced for us.  All are very strong foals with great conformation, nice movement, brave personalities & of course that beautiful GUARANTEED tobiano color!  We will be offering a couple of these foals for sale, as well as some broodmares this year, so check our Sale Page for updates; or give Katie a call if you’ve got your eye on one!

Show season is off to a great start as well.  Horses & riders have all come out strong and are getting better every day.  We’ve got a some great show horses available for sale right now – from talented 2 year olds to proven show pen veterans – give Billy a call if you’re in the market for a new partner.

We’ve also just had a few stalls open up and are accepting new boarders.  If you or someone you know needs a great home for their 4-legged family member, send them to visit with us.  We’ve got an amazing facility and a great “barn family” for you to join!

January 1, 2016

While 2015 was a year of great change for us here at BKSH, we are now well settled into our beautiful new farm and getting our routine together just in time for…

We anticipate a very busy travel schedule this year – in addition to our wonderful show veterans, we have some fantastic new horses on our Show String (pics coming soon!) and several of our home-raised babies will be making their under-saddle & longe-line debuts as well.

Breeding season is close at hand now and we’ve got some excellent mares already booked to Zack, who is in great shape and all ready for his girls!  Our bred mares are all due in March this year and we can’t wait to see all those beautiful paint Zack babies loping around the field!

We’d like to thank our awesome clients – we are grateful for your support, we value your friendship and we appreciate you entrusting your amazing horses to us!  Here’s to a very SUCCESSFUL and FUN 2016!!!

November 13, 2015

Just got home from a successful COLOR CONGRESS in Tulsa!  Took all babies this time & they sure did us proud.

Midas Well Shine won both his Open & Amateur Weanling Stallion Halter classes!  That was his first show and he handled it like a pro.  That makes his mama, ZZ Sensational Diva, a proven producer with her first foal!

BK LazyAss Cowboy showed well & placed 4th in his Solid LL class, then he just missed getting a check in the All Breed Cash Challenge class – that was a huge class & there were some great horses there – we were honored to be in such company!  This winter Cowboy will go under saddle to prepare for the next phase of his show career.

ZZ Cant Stop Rockin showed really well and was 3rd in Open Yearling Gelding Halter – he got beat by some really nice big halter colts but stood up pretty & profiled great!  He also ended up 7th in a nice big Open Overo Color class.  He will go under saddle in the spring!

Zippin Pippin  placed 6th in the Open Overo Color class, right in front of his half brother!  He will undergo further training this fall/winter and show next year as a 3YO maiden.

We are also happy to announce that the breeding we donated to our stallion YouDontKnowJackZip as a fund raiser for the TN Paint Horse Youth Club was won by DeLinda Manning!  DeLinda has some fantastic mares and we are thrilled that she will be getting a “Zack” baby to show in the future!

Just returned home from the PINTO WORLD CHAMPION SHOW in Tulsa, OK and what a great show Team BKSH had!  I’m so pleased to report we brought home 3 Reserve World Champion Buckles as well as several Top 5 and Top 10 finishes in some really big, very competitive classes.

BK LazyAss Cowboy – my home bred, raised & trained colt – was a 2X Reserve World Champion, bringing home he buckles in both Open & Amateur Solid Pinto Bred Longe Line.  That’s the second time I’ve accomplished that with one of my own babies & it makes me so proud!  We were also Top 5 in Open Yearling In Hand Trail.

Haley Settles & Zipped Wrapt N Heaven brought home the other Reserve World Champ buckle in Youth Barrels!  Yes, that is her super talented, awesomely diverse western pleasure horse that did that!  They were also Top 10 in Open & Youth Ranch Riding.

Emma Ivey & Rapped So Perfect also had a great World Show placing Top 5 in Youth Ranch Riding & Top 10 in Youth Ideal Pinto English Tobiano.  They had some great goes in super big, tough classes & made great progress as a team; very proud of them!

Austin Cauffman & his 2YO filly ZZ Haute Sensation both made their World Show debut this year!  They did great and got called out in a big Novice Youth Walk/Trot class against much more experienced competition.  Great job!

Dalton Moyer & El Bee Sequoia just missed being in the buckles this year, but still came home with a Top 3 in Youth Ideal Pinto Western Tobiano, he was also a Finalist in 2 other HUGE Youth WP classes – outstanding accomplishment for a kid that just started showing at the lope a year ago and on a mare that has been in the broodmare herd for the last 3 years!

Joshua Moyer, who just started riding & showing about 3 months ago, also showed El Bee Sequoia in his first ever World Show!  They placed under 2 judges in a tough Youth Tobiano Color Class and were Top 10 in Youth Novice Walk/Trot Ideal Pinto Western Tobiano!  Great job Josh & LB!

Billy placed Top 10 in a tough 2 Year Old WP class with Hey You Never Know owned by Elizabeth Tow – this colt only has about 60 days and is going to be AMAZING…  Billy was also Top 10 in both Tobiano Color Geldings with Rapped So Perfect & Overo Color Geldings with Zippin Pippin.

I also wrapped up my breeding season right before we left for Pinto World; it was a GREAT year for us with our new stallion, YouDontKnowJackZip!  We’ve got 7 foals coming from him next year on a fantastic group of mares – 3 of which are World Champion Producers!!!  I could not be more excited for my babies next spring!

We’ve got some more really exciting news coming soon, so check back!!

March 7, 2015

Well I think Spring is finally on the way – what a relief!  As happens every year, things get SO busy in the spring.  We’ve got our one and only foal on the ground already.  He’s a SUPER NICE colt out of ZZ Sensational Diva by The Gift Of Midas – this fella is quite a character and has some LEGS!  Check out his baby pics on the 2015 Baby Page.

We also acquired a 2YO son of YouDontKnowJackZip, so now we don’t have to wait until next year to have Zack babies on the farm!  Check out his pics & info on the Show String Page and watch for this great legged colt to show at the Pinto World in 2YO Western Pleasure this year.

Congratulations are also in order for Suzanne Stell on the purchase of BK Sharp Dressed Man – now she’s got TWO super talented colts with us for Longe Line and In Hand Trail – one Quarter and one Paint!!!  Also congrats to Julie, Tom & Austin Cauffman on the purchase of EightSecond Sensation – I know they will do a great job getting her ready to show Halter, Longe Line & In Hand Trail this year.  Those were the very last of my yearlings and the last of the Zee babies forever, it’s been a great baby year!

January 27, 2015

It’s a New Year and what a great one it’s going to be for Billy Korsack Show Horses!

First of all, we’ve got Zack here, settled in and all ready for breeding season to start.  If you have a mare to breed this year, take a close look at the YouDontKnowJackZip Page.  The breeding on this stallion is incomparable – he is guaranteed to add color to your overo or solid APHA mares as well as all your Quarter Horse mares.  And, believe it or not, he is also a perfect outcross for many of the nice tobiano APHA mares out there.  Give us a call to talk about breeding – we are not going to breed many outside mares so book early.

If you are looking for a new show horse or a young prospect, check out the Sales Page.  We’ve got a few really nice horses for sale – and if we don’t have it, we can probably still help you find it!  We had a great year for babies last year and ALL the 2014 foals are already sold – if you are looking for a nice Longe Line or In Hand Trail prospect for this year, give us a call.  I have only 2 left…

We’re getting the 2015 Show Schedule worked up for this year which is always exciting.  We’re planning a busy year and hope to see you in the Show Pen!  Billy is also booking Open, 4-H and POA shows to judge this season – if you are a show manager and needing a judge, give him a call soon as his schedule fills up quick!

We’ve got lots more planned for the year ahead so check back with us often!

December 1, 2014

We are SO EXCITED to announce that we are now the proud owners of YouDontKnowJackZip (1998 APHA/PtHA Stallion)!!!

“Zack” is double bred Zippo Jack Bar, has 149 APHA Western Pleasure points AND he is a HOMOZYGOUS tobiano! What a FANTASTIC addition to our breeding program this fella will be! His mares for 2015 will include 2X Reserve World Champion ZZ Sensational Diva, multiple Reserve and Top 3 World producer Gypsical Rodder and AQHA point earners & producers Get Hot & Rosie Principles!

Our deepest thanks to Donna Merritt and family for giving us this amazing opportunity to own what we believe to be the best bred homozygous tobiano stallion in the paint pleasure horse industry today!

Go to our Stallion Page to see photos of Zack, learn about his steller pedigree and get more news about our breeding program.

WOW, what a busy year we’ve had – not even time for a news update until now!  The show season has been great, and we are wrapping it up for the year.  Lots of success for Team BKSH this year – had a great foaling season (check them out on my Baby Page), sold some very nice horses (we have a great selection on the Sale Page), gained a few wonderful new clients (meet them our Show Page) and racked up the points and awards at most all the shows we attended!!

Heading into the winter we will be busy getting all those weanling babies started on the basics of groundwork, we’ve got a couple nice yearlings that will get started under saddle, our junior & green horses will continue to get their final polishing for the show pen, and the senior horses will get a little break before learning some new skills for the show season next year!

We are very pleased to introduce our newest client Jeannette Longley.  She is bringing several of her beautiful pure Egyptian Arabian horses to join our Team!!!  These horses are FANCY and we are very excited to begin working in a new (to us) facet of the horse world!  We will be adding pictures soon!

GREAT Color Breed Congress to close out the year for Team BKSH!!  As usual, ZZ Sugar Me Sweet did an outstanding job in the Longe Line Classes – Open LL 3rd, Amateur LL 4th, Cash Challenge LL 5th & Amateur Overo Color 3rd – could not be more proud of her this year!  We are expecting her to be a great 2 year old next year.  Veteran of the show pen ZipposScribbledSheik once again proved what an amazingly talented and versatile horse he is – Senior WP 6th, Senior Ideal Pinto Western 6th, Aged Gelding Halter 6th & Senior Trail 6th – this was in some really tough company too!  BK Revved Up Radical made us so proud at her very first show – Open Solid LL 3rd & Cash Challenge LL 7th – she did a great job, especially for such an inexperienced horse!  Latest addition to the BKSH Show Team is Jennifer Fore with The Golden Ticket.  Billy showed this super nice yearling gelding with great success in his first ever show – PHBA LL 4th, Open Solid LL Reserve Congress Champion & Cash Challenge LL 8th.  Better yet, “Yella” made the trip home and will be out showing with us next year as a 2 Year Old!  Be sure to check out our Show String and Sale Pages where we showcase our new additions!!

October 20, 2013

SO, SO BUSY!!  Well we are trying to wrap up another show season – just one big one left! We are headed to the Color Congress in Tulsa very soon.  It’s been a busy season with lots of changes this summer and fall:  We’d like to give a long overdue “Welcome to the Team” MELISSA WILLIAMS – she is Katie’s Assistant Barn Manager as of early this spring.  Melissa has done a fantastic job keeping the barn running seamlessly while Billy & Katie are on the road – and when they are home as well!!  DALTON got a new ride – we gelded our stallion ZZ Top Sensation just this fall for his new Youth horse – and they are off to an amazing start, already racking up points and adding new events to their resume.  JOSH has decided to join the Show Team as an owner/trainer of one of the babies he foaled out this year!  EMMA and BELINDA traded horses and both came out ahead – awesome!  We’ve placed some horses with great new homes – Punk, Bubbles, Sugar, Tina and Remy are all doing well with their new people.  The foals from this year are weaned and looking great – I’ve only got ONE left to sell, these Zee babies sure go like hotcakes!  Speaking of Zee babies – his last foal crop EVER will hit the ground in 2014 – I’ve got 4 great mares in foal to him, keep an eye out in the spring and get your Zee baby EARLY cause they will not last!
