2009 Pinto Congress

As a yearling, Zee earned 23 Open Longe Line points and his ROM.  Due to an injury he was unshown as a 2 year old, but returned to the show pen as a 3 year old with Katie.  With limited showing he earned points in Amateur/Nov Am WP, Overo Color and even in Nov Am HUS!  It is worth noting that Zee was standing his first breeding season as a 3 year old while showing with a Novice Amateur!  Most people at the shows thought he was a gelding because he was so quiet and good.

Zee’s oldest foals were born in 2010.  From his first foal crop he produced ZZ Sensational Diva who has earned multiple APHA and PtHA World & Congress honors as a yearling, 2 year old and 3 year old – she is now the dam of an outstanding colt (by The Gift Of Midas) which was Color Congress Champion in Open & Amateur Weanling Halter Stallions.  His second crop of foals produced ZZ Top Secret who also earned PtHA World Show Top 3 honors.  His third batch of babies included ZZ Sugar Me Sweet who earned a pile of Top 5 awards at the PtHA World and Color Congress!  Zee’s fourth set of babies were exceptional – Zippin Pippin, ZZ Haute Sensation & ZZ LoveThat Sensation all showed well in the Longe Line, Halter & In Hand Trail classes as yearlings. The fifth and very last foal crop from Zee hit the ground in 2014 – BK Sharp Dressed Man showed very well in APHA LL & IHT throughout his yearling year & ZZ Cant Stop Rockin was Top 3 at Color Congress in Yearling Gelding Halter and Top 10 in Overo Color.

Zee passed on his great temperament and easy going nature to all his foals – they were just born friendly and with great personalities!  He also put a great set of legs under them.  What surprised us most was that he has thrown size as well!  Zee is ~15 hands and 1000 pounds, his babies all look like they are going to be 15.1 – 15.2+, even the ones out of smaller mares.  We are very pleased with Zee as a sire, his pedigree stands for itself and his foals have been amazing.

We made the decision to geld Zee last fall in preparation for the next phase of his career – a youth show horse!  He is doing a GREAT job teaching a couple of Novice Youth riders the Western Pleasure ropes!
